Sometimes, it is a serious drag toting around a bag. It can be hard on the shoulders and your back. And, most handbags that rest on the wrist are just uncomfortable due to their weight. Enter the little wrist bag! The perfect accessory for those who travel very light.

Here are a few personal favorites.

Chanel Pearl Bracelet Flap Pouch Bags

Introduced in 2021, these bags are seriously classy and cute. 2 of the 3 sizes can even hold some cellphones. The original retail prices range from $2525 to $3625.

Chloe Small Nile Bracelet Bag

Introduced in 2017, this is one of the larger bracelet bags. However, it is still quite small with a height of 6 inches and a length of 7.5 inches. This stylish little bag can also be purchased in the pre-owned market for well under $1000.

Gucci Raja Broadway Bracelet Handle Bag

Small but dramatic, and big enough to hold some phones. This satin bag is hard to find. When you do see it, expect to pay around $1000.

Jimmy Choo Micro Bon Bon handbag

One of the cutest bucket bags ever. Retailing $1200 to $4700, this bag is classically Jimmy Choo. In the resale market, you can even find it for just a few hundred dollars.

Louis Vuitton Party Palm Springs Bracelet Bag

Retails $790! Measuring 2.25 by 3.25 inches, this bag is teeny tiny. A phone will not fit inside. Not exactly the most practical choice, it sure is cute though.

Fendi Nano Fendigraphy Wrist Bag

Too small for some phones, this is my personal favorite due to its small but not ridiculously small size and comfort level. The retail price is also not bad at $1290.

Prada Saffiano Logo Wrist Pouch

Very small, not very functional, it really exists for a statement. This little fella is $850 new.

We hope you enjoyed this post and share our love of little bags.

For even smaller bags, check out our miniature handbag post (here), and our outfit with a teeny tiny vintage Chanel bag (here).

10 years ago, I purchased a Chanel black caviar medium classic double flap for $1600 on EBay. Now, that same bag, is valued at a cool $6500 on the same marketplace. Outside of the stock market, I have never made such a good investment.

I kick myself for all of the Chanel handbags I have sold over the years. I would have undoubtedly made many thousands of dollars if I had just held onto those pieces.

Unlike my investment portfolio as of recent, my collection of Chanel bags have only increased in value.

Get this. Chanel increased its prices THREE times last year and SIX times since early 2020! When they do this, the resale market naturally hikes up their prices as well.

Now there is a rumor that prices will again hike sometime in early July 2022.

Do you think Chanel can keep up with price hikes when their classic flap is nearing the price of a Hermes Constance flap, which undoubtedly is higher quality?

Only time will tell.

Counterfeit sellers can be an unscrupulous bunch. Many of them (we actually believe most) knowingly sell fakes for ridiculous amounts of money. This is straight up stealing.

And, unfortunately, some of them will resort to trickery to get away with it.

Authentication services can be valuable to many purchasing in the resale market, but there is a new issue that has become extremely rampant: FALSIFIED documents.

For a long time, we did not want to bring attention to this problem fearing that it would only cause more fake sellers to implement this strategy. However, the issue has become very widespread, and it is more beneficial to alert buyers than to keep fake sellers from knowing.

Swapping Photos to Acquire a Certificate

Chanel handbag stamp comparison fake authentic

Counterfeit sellers have submitted authentic close-up photos mixed with a couple fake images to acquire a certificate. Unfortunately, many people do not double check if the images actually match up. Above is an example.

It is imperative to ensure that your item actually matches the images on the certificate.

Counterfeit sellers will also sometimes submit the authentic version to get an email certificate, and then turn around and sell the fake version citing our email authentication. Please double check with us if you see a claim on EBay or elsewhere.

Lollipuff authenticity certificates can be verified HERE. Do not depend on an image of a certificate when it can be verified.

We hope that this helps, and it is so unfortunate that people have to watch out for stuff like this!

Take a look at this little bag. Would you believe that it is a fake Gucci?

As it is always an arms race between counterfeiters and authenticators, we cannot divulge the reasons as to why this marmont camera bag is a super fake.

However, we can tell you that just in this set of images, we observe 5 errors.

Many of the recent Chanel bags (starting early 2021) do not come with a serial sticker.

Chanel is doing away with serial stickers and replacing them with a microchip embedded inside a metal block.

Lettering on the block has been blurred for our client's privacy and safety for their handbag.

If you have recently purchased a Chanel in stores only to find that it is missing a serial sticker, don't fret. It's just a recent change. Louis Vuitton has also made this change, going from datecodes to microchips (read more here).

For more about Chanel serial numbers (check it out here).

Curious about what a super fake Louis Vuitton looks like?

Let's take a peek at the one below.

Eye-opening and a bit frightening, right?

Unfortunately, due to counterfeiters, we cannot divulge the tells that make this bum bag counterfeit.

As of March 2021, many of Louis Vuitton handbags and accessories will no longer come with a datecode. Many will also be missing a "made in" stamp. Instead, there will be an embedded microchip. Louis Vuitton will likely keep the microchip verification in-house and consumers will not be able to access a verification easily.

So, what does this mean for the resale world and for its retailers?

The designer resale market has been growing rapidly. Consumers are able to purchase a pre-owned Louis Vuitton bag, oftentimes at a huge savings, with the aid of authentication services.

The datecode sometimes is NOT a required area for many authenticity checks. However, sometimes, it a very important aspect. If it wasn't, why would almost all reputable authenticators request an image of it? Bags and accessories that are very simple in style will have fewer check points without a datecode and "made in" stamp. Also, certain styles are only made in certain factory codes and years, not to mention that the datecode font is frequently checked too!

So, one of these "no datecode" bags could be potentially harder to sell. It also makes it easier for counterfeiters to dupe buyers.

For Lollipuff, it will mean that on some of these newer bags, we will be refunding and cancelling the authentication fee. Because, if we do not feel confident in our assessment, we would most certainly not want to give a professional assessment.

What do authenticators look at when they review an item? Here are some pictures to demonstrate the authentication process.

First, the style and circa is identified if at all possible, as a designer brand's practices can vary greatly depending on the style and time of production.

Below, we've got the same style dress (different colors) side by side. We will reveal if the black or white one is fake at the end.

chanel fake vs authentic dress

After identifying the style and circa of the item, features specific to the style and/or circa will be reviewed. In this case, one of the many things that will be reviewed will be the details of the buttons. See how they look very different?

Again, using features specific to the circa, we will also review key feature points such as the tagging. Is the font, spacing, type of information, fabric finish, stitching practice, etc consistent with the circa and/or its style?

As you can see, authenticating designer items is not only looking at possible large design differences but also smaller details specific to the brand, circa and style.

So, the fake Chanel dress located above is a very average counterfeit. It is neither an obvious fake or a superfake (i.e. convincing counterfeit). If you are a lover of Chanel clothing, you likely assessed the white dress as counterfeit due to the obvious errors on the tags.

There's a lot of games being played online. And, it's awful to witness it.

Here's the story of one person who tried really hard to get an authentic determination for a counterfeit Chanel bag.

First off, here are the images of the handbag.

For authenticators, it's obvious that this is a fake handbag. It is not even a superfake.

In spite of us reassuring our confidence in the assessment of this bag, the client insisted that the bag was purchased in stores by herself. She even procured a very blurry image of a receipt and threatened to leave negative reviews and a blog post about Lollipuff.

Nonetheless, threats will not influence an authenticity assessment.

It is imperative to be cautious when shopping online for these expensive items.

Here is an authentic and fake Hermes Kelly bag side by side. Which one do you think is the fake? The one on the left or right?

For a well-versed authenticator, the fake demonstrated in this example is considered a good fake but NOT a superfake. There are many errors throughout the replica in this post. Unfortunately, because counterfeiters frequent these posts, we cannot openly divulge the reasons. However, for someone who looks at Hermes bags often, this should still be helpful.

Now... finally, the answer. The authentic Kelly handbag is on the left, while the fake is on the right.
