Today, I wanted to share with you my favorite mascaras and a review of all three. Finding mascara that works for me has always been a challenge. Not only are my eyelashes short and fine, they're down-turned and straight. This makes me the pickiest person when it comes to mascara. Here are 3 mascaras that are, in my opinion, the absolute best!
It's easy to find a lengthening or volumizing mascara these days. BUT, one that thickens and lengthens AND keeps curl AND doesn't smudge by the end of the day for my stick-straight lashes is a miracle find. Insert Kiss Me mascaras!
Of all my 20 years of make up wearing, these are unrivaled: Heroine Make Volume and Curl Mascara, Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara, Heavy Rotation Long Volume Mascara, Heroine Make Eye Makeup Remover or Heroine Make Mascara Remover (remover is required for Heroine Make mascaras, not needed for Heavy Rotation mascara)
Here's what's special about each mascara...
In addition to its promise of lengthening and thickening, Heavy Rotation doesn't smudge, and if I curl lashes after my mascara has dried, it keeps decent curl by the end of the day. What's really cool about this mascara is that even though it doesn't ever smudge on me, it comes off very easily with soapy warm water. Rubbery tubes wash down the drain. It's a lazy girl's dream!
Heroine Make Long and Curl and Volume and Curl are very similar. Aside from their excellent lengthening and thickening properties, they hold curl 10 times better than any mascara I've ever tried before. Only with these mascaras, do I NOT need to curl my naturally-droopy lashes after my mascara has dried. And, there is no smudging whatsoever. Cry, even SWIM, and it will stay! Now, the only issue with these two is that they require a bit of extra effort to remove. Namely: Heroine Make Eye Makeup Remover or Heroine Make Mascara Remover.
For demonstration purposes, here are Heroine Make Volume and Curl and Long and Curl at the end of the day. As you can see, aside from my lash-challenged eyes, the curl is still holding strong, and there is zero smudging.
The Volume and Curl and Long and Curl don't seem to have much difference. Perhaps, Volume and Curl clumps more easily, but this can be because of the wand. If you don't mind the extra effort needed for removal, the two Heroine Make mascaras are simply the best. They're also extremely popular in Asia and have won awards.
Thanks for letting me share something that I adore. If you try out any of these products, let me know how it goes in the comments. :)
