As I get older, I also become much more aware and knowledgeable of skincare and lip care. Here are 3 new finds that I am in love with!
Proper protection from the sun's harmful UVA and UVB rays actually means multiple re-applications throughout the day. But, this requires a lot of diligence. It takes time, messes up any makeup you may have on, and can feel gross by the end of the day.
Colorescience Sunforgettable powder sunscreen (here) addresses all these issues and more. It has a built-in brush so that the product can be re-applied in mere seconds, making sunscreen re-application as easy as it possibly can be. Also, the design and size make it perfect to slip into a handbag.
Not only that, it is a physical broad spectrum (UVB+UVA) sunscreen and has a high level of zinc oxide. This means protection from both UVA and UVB while providing less likelihood of skin irritation and reactions. Zinc oxide has a long track record of being one of the safest and stabilized sunblock ingredients.
This is my favorite beauty purchase this last month. Sunscreen is important, and now I'm finally re-applying as often as I should be. :)
You know how a lot of people notice others' eyes? I have always been a lip person. This kind of explains why I'm so obsessed with lip care. I'm always trying out new lip balms and masks.
Kaplan MD Perfect Pout lip mask (here) is shockingly good. It's very intensive, so I only apply it once a week, and it keeps my lips chap-free and moisturized for at least a week.
The mask tingles but not in a painful way. And, results are immediate and lasting which is a difficult duo to find in a lip product. It makes my lips more youthful and brings back some slight plumpness. Hands down, most favorite lip treatment thus far.
And, a tiny bit goes a LONG way. That .35 oz lip mask is definitely going to expire long before it is used up!
The lovely Mariloupop recommended this in a previous favorites blog post. Drunk Elephant C serum (here) is the best vitamin C serum I've used to date. Vitamin C is a powerful ingredient that is extremely effective in stimulating collagen production and correcting skin discoloration.
This product has greatly helped in brightening and evening my skin-tone. My skin is much less ashy, and it just looks healthier.
There are a few ingredients that should be incorporated into everyone's skin routine, and vitamin C is one of them. And, I have yet to find one that is as good as Drunk Elephant! Just be careful when you first start using it. It's fairly strong, so you may need to slowly introduce this to your routine.
So there you have it! My most recent favorite beauty finds! :) Hope you enjoyed this. If you try one of these out, let us know how it turned out. AND, if you might have any products that you LOVE, share them below. :)
