Every once in a while, I like to share a few little beauty things that make a difference. Oftentimes, these little beauty tools or products are surprisingly inexpensive but highly effective. Here are 3 new little discoveries that you might like too.
Gross, I know. But, if you don't already have one of these, let me make an introduction!
Picking pimples with one's fingernails oftentimes leads to worse acne or irritated skin. There's a reason why dermatologists say to leave them alone. Your fingernails are dirty, and they are shaped ineffectively for blemish removal.
However, when a disgusting whitehead pops up, that urge to rid of the ugly thing is almost unavoidable. This tool (here) does it easily while greatly reducing chances of irritation and worse acne.
One only needs to lightly prick the whitehead with the pointy side and then put the loop side over the whitehead and pull sideways while pushing down on the skin. Be sure to clean the tool prior to using!
Personally, I find this to be superior to just leaving the whitehead alone. On me, acne begets more acne. And, when the pimple can be removed so easily and painlessly, this is a must-have device. Never sport a gross whitehead again!
Sunscreen is a golden rule when it comes to skincare. I try a lot of different sunscreens and am very picky. Very few become regulars on my vanity.
Along with Elta Md 46 sunscreen, Revision Intellishade is one of two sunscreens that I use almost every day.
Here's what to love about Revision Intellishade sunscreen: It's light and not sticky. Once settled, it has no fragrance. It has a matte finish compared to most sunscreens and provides coverage comparable to a light foundation! I don't like wearing foundation most days, so this product can provide a full face look with a few touches of concealer here and there.
I get my Revision Skincare at Lovelyskin, because I'm super paranoid about counterfeits, particularly when they are substances that get absorbed into skin!
This extremely affordable tool is awesome. E.l.f. eyebrow stencils are PERFECT for me. Without these things, my eyebrows never look as good. AND, they take 3 times as long.
For me, and probably for most people, the stencils are in the perfect size. And, there are 4 classic shapes to choose from! Everything from youthful and innocent to structured and defined. Here it is with everything that you need in a set.
I like using these with powder best. A few strokes, and my eyebrows are framing my eyes better than nature intended!
Hope you enjoyed my roundup of little beauty favorites. Do you already have any of these? If so, what do you think of them? Or, do you have any other little beauty things we all should be trying out? Please share. :)
