Alterations Tutorial: Fix that Too Low V Neck

By Bebefuzz on Mar 29, 2013.

Do you have a Herve Leger dress that has a v neckline that's just a little too low for your comfort? Don't fret! We've got a super easy tutorial.

The dress on the left is how the original Herve Leger looks like. The image on the right shows the dress with a slightly more modest raised neckline.

And, an up close picture of the super simple alteration.

So, let us show you how we do this on a dress that doesn't already have the alteration. Here's the signature v neck dress before the alteration.

All you need to do is turn the dress inside out and then fold the dress so that the sides of the neckline match up. Do small loop stitches until you've completed about 1.5 inches and then seal the stitching with a couple small knots.

That's it! Here's the final product!

Higher necklines can be more wearable for some, and this can be done to most v neck Herve Leger dresses. We hope that you enjoyed this quick easy tutorial. Leave any questions in the comment section. :)
