I've seen this pretty hair trend only a couple of times on TV, but I'm already completely obsessed. These pretty charms are like modern toned-down flapper hairpieces.
These hairpieces are basically chains that are clipped or pinned into the hair.
They can be worn in a number of ways as illustrated in the above pictures. The most common is hair down with curls or waves, accessory to a bun, or with curled hair half up (my favorite).
These can easily be worn during dressy events, but the less ornate hair clips can be worn every day.
Without further ado, here's how you can recreate these looks with 5 of my favorite hair chains. They are all a little bit different and ordered in price, low to high.
I love the price and how simple this first option here is. Being under $6 makes it a no-brainer. This will be my first chain hair piece, and it's currently being mailed to me.

The use of leaves in jewelry and hair ornaments is always so charming. This one here is in a bright gold color, so it will surely shine and stand out.
Not all of these hair chains are dainty. This turquoise gem piece looks completely different from the rest, and would be the perfect complement to a little black dress!
These last two are pricier but are perfect for cocktail and formal events. This gorgeous piece looks like jewelry for your hair.

Isn't it amazing how this simple dainty chain hair clip dresses up a simple low bun? Totally loving all the possibilities!
I'm pretty excited about this trend. It's understated enough to be classic, and yet so eye-catching. When I'm lazy, I can easily dress up a messy bun. And, when I'm having a good curl hair day, this hair accessory will emphasize my curls that much more.
What do you think? Love it, hate it, or undecided? Let me know!
