3 of my favorite Hair and Skin Products

By Bebefuzz

I love chatting with my girlfriends' about their latest beauty finds and favorite products that they can't live without. It always leads me to a discovery of an excellent product that I may not have tried. So, I thought it would be fun to share with you 3 amazing products that I've been using for years!

The following are my favorite lotion, hair product, and facial exfoliant. Every once in a while, I'll try out a different product, but no matter what none have been able to top these 3 favorites... for years!

Favorite Lotion - CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

best moisturizing lotion skin face body

I've been using CeraVe cream for about 4 years now. This stuff is magical. I apply it to my clean face before going to bed. If I don't use it for a while and then resume using it, I notice a difference the very next morning. My skin glows when I wake up, and it moisturizes in a way that few lotions can. It doesn't feel like it's just sitting on your skin keeping moisture in, but rather feels like it seeps into your skin and pulls in moisture. It even helps with breakouts.

Even though I use CeraVe mostly for my face, it is great for your whole body. For best results for the body, apply Cerave first and then apply a body butter. AMAZING!

Be sure that you purchase the right CeraVe lotion. I've tried other CeraVe products, but did not love them the way that I do for this particular product. The one that I use is in a big 16 oz tub. Don't let the packaging throw you off; it is a hidden gem of a product!

**I have thick combination skin that is extremely sensitive to many chemicals. I think this product would work on all skin types!

Favorite Hair Product - L'Oreal Mythic Oil

best spray shiny smooth hair

I am incredibly picky, so it's no surprise that I don't have a shampoo, conditioner, or hairspray that I swear by. But, I do have one haircare product that I am totally loyal to. L'oreal Mythic Oil satisfies and exceeds my hair expectations. If you hate product that weighs your hair down at all, and love products that make your hair look shinier, feel smoother, softer and lighter, this is the best! I slap a tiny amount of this on my palms and run this though damp hair, and all of a sudden, I am GOOD. TO. GO!

**My hair is fine, but very resistant to damage and split ends. I have a moderately oily scalp. But, honestly, I think this product would work for anyone!

Favorite Face Exfoliant - St Ive's Blemish Control Apricot Scrub

best facial exfoliant

I've tried a lot of stuff. From the expensive Clarisonic brush, to beaded liquid soaps, to Asian papaya soaps, to micro-exfoliants. Nothing makes my face happier than when I wash it with St. Ive's Apricot Scrub (Blemish and Blackhead Control). It's surprising that this works so well since it's so cheap!! I use this AFTER washing my face with a facial wash (usually some Neutrogena product). This does not work well as a soap, but superbly when used as an exfoliant. After wetting my face, I rub this in circular motions all over applying very little pressure for a full 15 seconds. Then, I rinse my face 10 times. Make sure that you close your eyes tightly when cleaning. If the walnut shell gets in your eye, it will hurt. I know this from experience. My face feels immediately refreshed! If I do this before going to bed, my face looks noticeably better in the morning.

This item has been a personal staple for over 10 years!

The one that I love is the blemish and blackhead control version. I do not like the "timeless skin" version or "fresh skin." Those two products do not have the heavy duty walnut shells that I love, and are not as effective. This product can be used for acne control or a general exfoliant.

**I have thick combination skin that is extremely sensitive to many chemicals. I think this product would not work for those with thin skin or dry skin. This product has crushed walnut shells in it and can be irritating to some.

So ladies, are there any products that you swear by? If so, we'd love to hear about it!
