There are many people who are confused about the Vero Cuoio stamp on the bottom of some Christian Louboutins. Some believe that only fake Louboutin shoes can possess this stamp. Today, we want to talk about what this stamp means and its correlation with authenticity. We hope that it will inform people about one of the most common misconceptions of authenticating Christian Louboutin.
Vero Cuoio is Italian for real leather. If you see the Vero Cuoio stamp on the sole of a shoe, this generally means that the sole is made of leather and was created by Italian shoewear artisans. However, this doesn't mean that all Italian leather soles will have this Vero Cuoio stamp.
For a very long time, most Louboutin shoes had this Vero Cuoio stamp on the sole. There were many different variations as well. Understandably, many people assumed that ALL Louboutins must have this little shield-like stamp in order to be authentic. Well, that was not right...
Nowadays, most of the newer Louboutin shoes do not have the Vero Cuoio stamp. This caused people to think that all authentic Louboutins must NOT have Vero Cuoio stamped on the bottom. This is not right, either.
The absence or presence of Vero Cuoio doesn't determine authenticity at all. Counterfeits may or may not possess this stamp, and the same applies to authentic Christian Louboutins. The only time the presence of Vero Cuoio is used for authentication, is when you know a particular style that is specific to a year and season, meaning the shoe is not a classic that was made in multiple seasons and years (example: not Pigalle, Simple, Flo, etc).
Right before my husband and I went to Valentine's dinner, the cats pitifully begged to go on a walk. Recently, we started training our indoor cats to walk on leashes. They seem to love it! These pictures of my Valentine's day Herve Leger dress are extra special, because animals always make pictures better. 🙂
The individual banding at the waist is so flattering and slimming on the Romy. Plus, there's an air of sophistication with the color-blocking and classy halter neckline.

This last picture is from mariloupop overlooking the Hawaiian beach. Beach and white dress just seem so perfect together! This gorgeous white sleeveless Herve Leger dress is a runway dress from the Spring 2010 collection. It's got cool chain link embellishments.

We got our hands on the tiniest of Chanel bags! Measuring just 3 x 2.75 x 1 inches, this adorable purse is very unique. In spite of being tiny, it is functional and has many of the features of a regular Chanel flap bag: stitched quilting, strong rectangular form, and intertwined leather and hardware chain. Read on for more details and lots of pictures!
Unlike most miniatures, this one is ready to wear in real life; it has a full length shoulder chain for convenience and comfort.
This micro mini Chanel flap bag is definitely more about fashion rather than functionality. What can you put in a bag this small? A standard size lipstick and a little cash and change.
The small designer bag utilizes a snap closure similar to one that is very common among many vintage Chanel bags.
Here's the classic medium double flap next to the micro mini bag. While vastly different in size, there are some similarities. The shoulder chain is heavy and looks gorgeous when worn. Both bags are made of leather, have quilting, and have a structured body. And, just like its bigger version, the tiny tiny Chanel flap also has Chanel stamping and a serial sticker inside! It's the little details that really make it special!

Every dress in this post ran true to size.
The red color and stud detailing looked amazing on the hanger. When worn, the details and color are even more vibrant. Great fit, and the front zip provides extra help hiding any stomach pooch.
The fit on this dress was very good as well, but the design was too sporty. The lines on this dress were extra flattering as well, but the gray, mesh and lime yellow look like a Nike shoe.
While the Candice dress is more conservative than most other Herve Leger, it is still extremely sexy due to its tight body-hugging fit.
The Denisa is classically Herve Leger. It's no wonder that it was one of the dresses that Herve Leger Barbie dons. Good fit, particularly great for those with small hips.
I had very high expectations for this dress. A simple scoop top with a flirty flared skirt, this would have been a perfect casual Herve Leger dress! Out of all of the dresses on this post, it had the least amount of hold. But, the style is nonetheless very classic.
Maybe it's because it's winter, but my eye is particularly drawn to dresses that cover up the bust. Oddly enough, this dress pulled in a little too much in just one spot of the waist, creating a strange indentation.
And, here's the pic that Helen is sharing with us! She looked even more stunning in person. 🙂 Unfortunately, I'm not sure which Herve Leger dress this is, the details of this dress didn't show up too well. Pics taken from phones are not always the best. 😛

Going to the Herve Leger boutique always reminds me of why I love this brand so much! Unlike department stores, they always have a huge selection of dresses in my size to try on. I think it's impossible to try on 5 Herve Leger dresses in the correct size without falling in love with at least one! Anyway, here are 6 new dresses that I recently had the pleasure of putting on. Herve Leger is so amazing! As long as the dress is in the correct size or only one size big, it's hard to find a Herve that I don't like! Out of the 6 below, only 1 was a thumbs down. And, any of the other 5 easily trump any other brand of dress in my closet! This is precisely why I refuse to wear anything other than Herve Leger to formal events!
My extremely sweet friend, Helen, invited me on this trip. She tried on a few dresses as well. I so wish I had some pics of her to share with you; she is stunning and looks ABSOLUTELY amazing in Herve Leger! But, I'm always wary of asking other people to be in blog posts, unless they offer pics. 😛
The Brookelle dress has been seen on so many celebrities, so I had to see what all the fuss was about. The dress is gorgeous! Amazing hold, sexy see-through mesh in the middle, and in a color that does wonders to most complexions. This dress is also true to size.
This next black with white trim short sleeve bandage dress also had great hold. The more casual design of this dress made it especially versatile. Again, this dress is true to size.
This long dress that falls right under the knees was a pleasant surprise. Below the knee lengths are oftentimes very unflattering. But, somehow the combination of bodycon and longer length worked. Very good hold and runs true to size.
The color on this dress is amazing! There are several dresses in the Spring 2014 collection in this color, and I must say that this coral pink color is in the most delightful Spring hue! If you tend to like lipstick with yellow or orange undertones, you might adore this color too. This dress had superb hold and probably ran half a size small.
Nothing seems to say elegant and modern like a one sleeve or one shoulder dress, especially one in black and white! Again, great fit and runs true to size. Herve Leger seems to be getting really consistent in sizing!
This last dress was the only one I did not care for. The hold was very lack-luster, and the proportions were all sorts of wrong on me. I'm not sure if it was my short torso or what, but nothing really worked for me in this one. 🙁

Some people are surprised when I tell them that I am a HUGE eBay fan. EBay provides amazingly low prices that consignment stores, dept stores and flagship stores can't compete with. In spite of the killer deals, there's a very good reason why most people don't buy designer items from eBay. They are notoriously known for duping buyers out of lots of cash for counterfeits.

The only good deal out of the bunch was the classic black caviar Chanel double flap bag. All the other listings were of counterfeit goods.
Notice how all sellers had pretty good feedback. Only one had less than 100% positive, and yet 3 of the 4 items were fake! Also, it's pretty crazy how the fake sellers guaranteed money back if the item is fake. Counterfeit sellers are the worst liars! D:<
The Louis Vuitton monogram Speedy bag is one of the most iconic bags and has had countless fans for many years. One of its first fans was the beautiful and classy Audrey Hepburn! Today, I did a quick shoot of my outfit with the Speedy 25, the smallest of the Speedy bags. This bag matches almost any outfit!
The Speedy comes in 4 different sizes and many different finishes. The one on me is the smallest (Speedy 25) and in the most recognizable pattern (original LV monogram). There is a Speedy 25, 30, 35 and 40. The number is the length of the bag in centimeters. The most popular size is the 30. I personally prefer the 25, 30 or 35 and find the 40 to be a bit too big for my body proportions.
Even though this bag is the smallest in its family, it can hold A LOT! I can fit my small notebook, wallet, phone, several pieces of makeup, pen, tissues, a little lotion and still have tons of room left! When picking a Speedy, consider ones own body size rather than what the bag can hold. For everyday purposes, any of the 4 sizes will have you covered and then some, assuming that you don't try to cram a laptop in there!
The Speedy is a super popular bag for several reasons. First, it's got a classic versatile style that's iconic and effortlessly elegant. It's a bag that can be worn to many occasions and with many outfits.
The material is also extremely sturdy and lightweight! The monogram canvas can take a ton of abuse from liquids, moisture, bumping and abrasion and not show any damage. And, I personally have a fondness for the leather handles; they're lush, smooth, and I actually enjoy the feeling of aged Louis Vuitton leather handles. That sounds crazy, but some of you know what I'm talking about. 😉
There is only one negative thing about the Speedy. When you put things into the bag, it actually loses shape. So most people who own a Speedy put a hard cardboard rectangle at the bottom of their bag to retain its shape. It's not a big deal, but for an expensive Louis Vuitton bag, it should come with a liner/shaper at the base.
Finally, another reason to love the Speedy is how it retains its value. The bag's price has actually gone up in price over time, just like many of the Chanel classic bags. If you care about quality, durability, beauty and value, a Speedy is a definite must have!
The Herve Leger top is an extremely under-appreciated wardrobe item. If you can only have one Herve Leger item, definitely make it a dress. But, if more can be had, a great classic top should definitely be considered.
We went to see my in-laws this Thanksgiving in Arizona. It was quite warm for the middle of winter. It's kind of weird seeing a mini skirt post in December. lol...
Herve Leger tops can be worn with many different bottoms. My favorites include flared mini skirts, a bandage skirt of the same color, and skinny jeans. When worn with a BCBG or Herve Leger skirt of the same color, you get the look of a Herve Leger dress! How great is that?
The Herve Leger top is not for the faint of heart. The one on me has particularly great body sculpting capabilities. It's very va-va-voom for cleavage and makes the waist tiny. What more could you want out of a top? When I originally purchased this from the Herve Leger store, I actually got 2! At first, they couldn't locate my size, so I bought the one that was slightly bigger. Later, they located it in the correct size, and I just had to have it! That's how much I loved this top.
This outfit had two of my favorite wardrobe pieces. I just had to share a pic of the Chanel bag. It's sooo GORGEOUS!
