Did you know that authentication usually means not only knowing brand-specific details, but also knowing what kind of fakes are out there? Designer authenticity is such an interesting topic, so we know that you'll enjoy looking at three very common types of fake Chanel bags out there.
Very Obvious Fake Chanel Medium Double Flap Bag

First up is the obvious fake Chanel. The quality is very shoddy, and nearly every detail is completely wrong. This is the type of fake that is readily available and openly sold on the streets of metropolitan cities or in China town. Usually, the general public can tell that these bags are fake with slight observation.
Poor Counterfeit Chanel Medium Double Flap Bag

This quality is fairly common. Fake vendors will try to sell these at $50-$300. Absolutely NOT WORTH it!
Most people who own a lot of Chanel will be able to tell the difference with quick inspection.
Super Fake Caviar Chanel Jumbo Bag

We saved the worst and most interesting one for last.
Some of you may think this is authentic, but we assure you that it is a super fake Chanel bag. Even if purchased directly from the counterfeiter, these fakes are not cheaply priced. Usually only brand experts will be able to pinpoint the different errors on these items and tell that this bag is counterfeit.
Counterfeiters have spread rumors that these super fakes are actually authentic items that were stolen from the factory or are leftovers. It's just not true. These super fakes are entirely different items, and certain inspection points prove it.
It's important to mention that even if you don't care about supporting the brand that designed and marketed these items, counterfeits are NOWHERE close to the quality of authentic goods. If you want a beautiful piece that is durable, ages gracefully, and can be resold or passed down, always invest in an authentic item.
The Misunderstood Chanel Double Flap Bag

This bag looks very different from most Chanel classic double flap bags, and it never had a serial sticker. But, this last bag is not fake. This beautiful vintage piece was manufactured before 1986, before Chanel applied serial numbers to bags. We thought it was important to mention very vintage bags, as they oftentimes look very different from current day versions and are falsely accused of being counterfeit.
This is a typical work-related meeting outfit. Though I sometimes miss my old job, one of the perks of working at Lollipuff is more freedom with style. No need to dress down and no need to dress corporate, just dress in the way that makes you feel best.

Like many of you out there, I've been searching far and wide for the Valentino rockstud sandals on sale. My very generic size 7 feet made it impossible for me to get those beautiful shoes at a good discount. When I saw these shoes from BCBG Paris for under $70, I swiftly ordered them, because I knew they would sell out quickly. The workmanship is obviously not as good as Valentino; clasps, soles, etc, all are not as luxurious. The design is not as elegant either, number and size of studs, toebox, etc. And, if your feet are narrow or somewhat narrow like mine, you may notice gaping on the sides from the front-view. However, they are a STEAL at under $100 in both quality and style.

I'm such a sucker for anything classically Chanel. This little ivory Chanel beauty finishes my outfit with a pop of lightness. From airy sundresses to suits, classic Chanel is a perfect complement.
The other day, hubby and I went to a nice date night. And, of course out came the Herve Leger! This is one of his favorite dresses on me. Red, simple and classic. Paired along with my favorite dress designer, are Chanel and Christian Louboutin.

I'm always so delighted when I get to wear Herve Leger. Because these garments are so flattering, I refuse to wear any other cocktail dresses.
Miranda Kerr's style is one that we're especially excited to write about. While it is super flattering, it is also easy to replicate. Her minimalist style is indisputably timeless. We've taken some of the most worn Miranda Kerr styles and broken them down, so they are very easy to copy.

Miranda Kerr's style can be best described as sexy in a very sophisticated way. Almost all of her wardrobe pieces can be considered as high-quality timeless essentials. You couldn't go wrong by drawing inspiration from her style.
Here I am with my favorite bag of all time (Chanel classic double flap in black caviar and gold hardware) and my new favorite brand of jeans, Frame. Frame is a very new brand, but surprisingly they've been able to compete with all the other hot designer denim out there. Read on for pictures and more.

I find the classic double flap to be so magnificently beautiful. I own this bag in caviar leather and lambskin leather. At one point of time, I even had three double flap bags: one navy lambskin double flap, one black lambskin, and the black caviar one shown in this post. It's not surprising to me that this bag is more often than not, sold out in stores.

Paige denim has been a personal longtime favorite for jeans. But, recently, after trying on the newest brand in designer denim, Frame, I've become a convert.
In spite of needing to compete against designer jean megapowers like Seven of all Mankind, Joe's, etc, their denim has been seen on countless celebrities. And, each time it looks amazing. Frame's most popular style is Le Skinny De Jeanne, which is the pair that I have on (here).

Frame denim runs small compared to most other jeans. So, if you normally wear say 26, size up to a 27. The jeans are very stretchy compared to most. To me, they are a lot like jeggings, except the fit is more exceptional to what jeggings usually offer. I also love the length of these jeans. Women's designer jeans are always a little extra long, but these were the perfect length with no alterations. The jeans are classic in every way and flattering in all respects.

When I go to try on Herve Leger dresses, I take it seriously. Not like it's really a chore though; Herve Leger is my favorite brand! 😛 Here are 5 more 2014 dress reviews from my most recent shopping trip. For those of you who don't have a Herve Leger store near you or are short on time, I hope that these are helpful. 🙂

First up is the Emely (here). This dress is sophisticated yet alluring. The pattern accentuates and exaggerates curves, and the high neckline and below-the-knee hem keep it very cosmopolitan. This dress ran half size big.

The v-essential is a mainstay of Herve Leger. It is repeatedly produced each year in different colors. What a lot of people don't know about the v-essential is that its styling and construction can vary. Some v-essentials run longer than others. Most v-essential dresses are individually banded at the bust and faux banded below. The depth of the v neckline also varies.
To my delight, this most recent black v-essential (here) is all individually banded! Classic sexy style, a timeless slimming black, and a slightly longer than mid-thigh length. Perfection. A Herve Leger retailing $880 that is individually banded is a rarity. Not that it really matters though as very intricate individually banded Herve Leger sells for much less here at Lollipuff. 😛 This dress runs true to size as well.

I was a huge fan of the Carmen dress. The Liza dress (here) is basically the Carmen dress with a drop-waist flare skirt. It was cute and pretty, but I like the Carmen better. This dress is true to size.

I had high hopes for the Ivana dress (here). Being short-waisted, I love dropwaist dresses. However, I think this dress should be reserved for those who are taller than 5'5." This dress ran half a size big.

This red Alyse dress (here) was a little too long for my liking. When a dress flares out this much and is right-above-the knees, you can't have skinny chicken leg calves. lol... It's absolutely beautiful up top, but this is better suited for those who like knee-length and have normal to thick calves. This dress also ran half a size big.
Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the BCBG Max Azria store to try on some of the newest Herve Leger dresses. Here's an update on what's currently in stores and my personal opinions of them.
Disappointingly, a lot of the dresses that were totally new compared to previous collections were not in the store. I was looking forward to trying on the peplum Herve Leger dresses like Annette (here), and the gold chain embellished pieces like Lisett (here). 🙁
Most 2014 dresses that were available seemed to consistently run about half a size big compared to 2013's collection which ran very true-to-size. There were also more dresses with print, and less dresses that were individually banded. The dresses tried on belong in 2014 collections, and these dresses also tend to be longer than the dresses found in 2013.

First dress that I tried on was a simple blue scoopneck a-line dress. The hold was moderate, and it was classically beautiful. This dress ran half a size big.

The Miranda dress (here) was another right-above-the-knee bandage dress that ran half a size big. The hold was less tight than banded Herve Leger, but the thickness of the fabric makes the dress very flattering.

The Adrianne dress ran half a size big as well. While the beading and design of this dress is very slimming, I found the ornate beading and pattern too busy for my small frame. This dress also had a moderately firm hold.

The Eva dress has been made in a variety of colors now. This watercolor jacquard Eva is simple and pretty. This dress also ran half a size big.

Of these 5 dresses, the denim Aja dress (here) was my favorite. I liked the length and this dress had moderate to firm hold. The design was also extremely slimming, and the style was very unique and memorable. It also ran half a size big.
While the dresses of 2014 are beautiful, the ones from 2013 are better in my personal opinion.
I recently came across a product that is miraculous for fixing minor to moderate scuffs on most leathers, and I just have to share it with all of you. Read on for the tutorial and the before and after pictures.

Of all of the shoe polishes I've ever tried, Meltonian Shoe Cream Polish is the best. It not only polishes, but also evens out scuffs and seems to revitalize leather. This polish can be applied to shoes and bags. It can be used on most solid-colored leathers. It should not be used on exotic leathers (python, croc, ostrich skin, etc), suede, or leathers that are not solid-colored.
This polish has even been used on one of my black lambskin Chanel bags, and it came out beautifully! None of my personal bags currently have any scuffs, so two pairs of shoes were used in this demonstration.

All I had to do was dip a little product onto a soft lint-free rag and buff this lightly but thoroughly into the leather surface in circular motions.
After the leather polish has completely dried, take a clean soft lint-free rag and buff it again. Do not apply product this time. This step is to set the polish, so that it does not rub color later.
My favorite ankle boots look so much newer now! They don't look scuffed at all!

And, check out the back of this heel. Almost like new. 🙂
Meltonian Shoe Cream Polish comes in a wide array of colors. Be sure to pick the one closest to the color of the leather that you are treating.
Do you know a good thing when you see it? At Lollipuff, we do.
What's fun about this quiz is that we actually used images that people submitted to Lollipuff! Oftentimes, we require a lot of pictures to ensure that no fakes get past us, we can oftentimes tell from just one picture. Examine and tell us if you can tell which is the bad bad fake. 🙂 Have fun!

Chanel makes dressing so effortless. Classic Chanel bags always emulate elegance and luxury, and the Chanel PST is no different. Enjoy this review of the Chanel petite shopping tote.

Chanel Petite Shopping Tote Size / Dimensions-
10 inches tall, 9.25 inches wide and 4 inches deep with a 9.75 inch shoulder drop.
The exterior of the Chanel PST is caviar leather. This makes the bag very durable. The front is decorated with a large iconic CC logo, and the back has a pocket for notes and such.
The strap on this bag incorporate the weaved leather and chain feature and a leather strap. When this bag is loaded up and heavy, the leather straps provide additional comfort.
The closure is a magnetic snap button. But, I find that I never use this feature. The snap doesn't really make the bag more or less closed. The lack of the zipper may also bother some. For me, it's not a problem.
The inside of the bag is cloth, and there is one large space with one open pocket on one side and a zippered pocket on the other. It easily fits everything that I usually carry and then some.

This gorgeous bag will work with many outfits, casual and professional. When I look at it, I think that this bag is ideal for the workplace. Durable enough to be worn on a regular basis, and it just looks serious yet sexy. Plus, the size and shape make it perfect for a notebook, documents, and your personal possessions.
